CPA and accounting firms
We've worked with CPA firms since our early years. We help firms grow advisory work, reach owners and CFOs in their best sectors, and keep marketing running through the busy season.
We help mid-market financial services firms earn trust, stand out from competitors, and grow a pipeline that doesn't depend on referrals.

Financial services marketing is different because the stakes are higher. When a business hires a CPA firm, a fractional CFO, or an investment bank, it's trusting them with its numbers, its cash, and sometimes the sale of the company. Bad numbers lead to bad decisions, and a mistake with the books, taxes, or cash can hurt a company for years.
That's why buyers look for proof before they call. They want to see experience in their industry and results with firms like theirs. When a firm shows that proof clearly, the choice gets much easier.
Financial services marketing also comes with rules that most industries don't have. Investment banks follow FINRA and SEC rules on communications, and CPA firms follow professional standards on advertising. We plan for your compliance review from the first draft, so content moves through approval without surprises.
Each of these firms sells in its own way, and we know the buyers and challenges each one faces.

Fractional CFO work is a growing field, and buyers often find it hard to picture. We help these firms explain what they do in plain terms and show owners and CEOs why part-time finance leadership is worth the investment.
Middle-market investment banks win mandates on sector expertise and relationships. We help banks turn closed deals into proof, stay visible to business owners and private equity firms, and give referral sources a reason to send the next deal.
Every program follows the same path: research, a written plan, and then steady execution, with a fractional CMO leading the work throughout. In ongoing engagements, most clients have a plan by about week six and programs running by week eight.
We interview your leaders and clients, study your competitors, and review your current marketing. The result is positioning that explains, in plain terms, why a buyer should choose you, built on your specialties, credentials, and wins.
You get a written marketing plan tied to your growth goals. It sets the message for each audience, the channels, the budget, and the numbers we'll track. If you need a plan as a standalone project, it takes six to twelve weeks, depending on depth.
Our specialists handle content, your website, PR, email, and paid ads. Monthly reports connect marketing to leads, sales conversations, and revenue.
Your fractional CMO, a senior marketing leader who works with you part time, runs the program week to week and resets priorities each quarter. Once a year, we review results with your leadership team and set the plan for the year ahead.
Debra Andrews, Founder and President of Marketri, leads our financial services engagements. She earned a degree in finance and spent the first decade of her career at three of the Big Four accounting firms: EY, PwC, and KPMG. At KPMG, she worked in the Corporate Finance practice, the firm's investment banking group. She founded Marketri in 2004. Financial services firms were among our first clients, and they remain a core part of our work today.

Founder & President
A global accounting and professional services firm wanted growth that didn't rely on its founders' networks and client referrals. We began as the firm's fractional CMO. We shifted the firm's focus to mid-market companies in its strongest sectors and built a marketing function it could measure. We then led marketing and sales together as its fractional chief growth officer. The firm's marketing-qualified leads, meaning leads that fit its target profile and showed real interest, grew from 182 in 2022 to 891 in 2025.

Marketri has become our trusted source for market research and outreach recommendations that are helping us accomplish our marketing goals. We have better brand awareness, a stronger online presence, and the infrastructure to do proactive marketing, and we’re building a stronger pipeline.

Scrubbed has worked with Deb Andrews, Trisha Gallagher, and the rest of the Marketri team for the past 3 years now. It won’t take much to research and compare what our brand looked like before Marketri, and how it looks like now. Spoiler Alert – a huge difference in look and feel. Marketri witnessed Scrubbed’s growth these past few years and it has been a fantastic experience working with them. I strongly recommend talking to Deb Andrews about your growth needs.

Financial services marketing is the strategy and execution that builds trust and demand for firms that help businesses manage, report on, and make decisions about their finances. For B2B firms such as CPA firms, fractional CFO firms, and investment banks, it covers positioning, messaging, the website, content, social media, PR, and measurement. The goal is to make a firm credible and easy to find well before a prospect picks up the phone.
Financial services marketing with Marketri typically costs $7,500 to $20,000 per month for fractional CMO leadership, or $7,500 to $50,000 per month when a fractional marketing team runs the program. Team pricing depends on how many specialists your plan needs and how much time each one spends on your work. Standalone projects cost less up front. A marketing assessment runs $10,000 to $25,000, and a standalone marketing plan runs $20,000 to $50,000. We set the scope after a conversation about your goals and review it each quarter.
Yes. Steady marketing smooths the feast-or-famine cycle that hits financial services firms when partners and bankers are too busy with clients or deals to look for new work. We keep your content, email, and social posts going during busy season and gather partner input in slower months, such as May through August at CPA firms. Your name stays in front of prospects all year, so new business keeps coming in.
Financial services marketing keeps relationships strong by staying in touch between engagements and showing clients more of what a firm can do. Regular insights, newsletters, and events remind clients why they chose you. Campaigns that introduce advisory or other services to current clients also drive growth. For one global accounting firm we work with, new work sold to existing clients brought in $4.6 million in revenue.
A fractional CMO provides senior marketing leadership part time, without a full-time executive hire. Your fractional CMO builds the plan, leads your team and our specialists, manages the budget, and reports on results. Ours already know how CPA firms, fractional CFO firms, and investment banks win work, so they skip the learning curve and start on what sets your firm apart.
Mid-market financial services firms stand out by being specific. Big firms usually win on budget, so smaller firms win on focus: clear specialties, named sectors, real results, and partners who are visible experts. A sharp position backed by case studies, client quotes, and thought leadership gives buyers a reason to choose you. Pointing every dollar at the audiences and channels with the best return helps a lean team keep pace.
Financial services companies should measure marketing ROI by tying every lead to the revenue it produces. Track how many leads marketing brings in, how many turn into sales conversations, how many close, and the value of the work won. A CRM, the system that tracks your contacts and deals, makes that link visible.
Yes. Fractional CFO firms are the newest part of our financial services practice. We understand what fractional CFOs do: lead the finance function and help owners see how each decision will affect cash, profit, and the future of the business. That knowledge helps us explain your service clearly and position your firm in a crowded, growing field.
A marketing firm that specializes in financial services already understands your services, your buyers, and your language. Your team doesn't have to explain what an audit is, what financial planning and analysis (FP&A) covers, or how a sell-side process works. That saves partner time, builds trust faster, and keeps the work focused on how your firm differs from others. It also means your marketing sounds credible to the sophisticated buyers you want to reach.
