Financial Services
CPA firms, fractional CFO firms, and investment banks, where buyers want proof before they trust you with their numbers.
We help mid-market professional services firms build marketing that wins new clients in the markets they most want to grow.

In professional services, your people are the product. Clients hire you for your judgment and experience, and they need to trust you before they ever call. That trust builds over time, which is why steady, focused marketing matters more here than in most industries.
At many of the firms we meet, marketing stays busy without driving growth. The team posts on LinkedIn, sends the newsletter, and updates materials, yet the firm still isn't well known in the markets it most wants to win. Efforts start and stop, each department leader asks for something different, and marketing tries to keep everyone happy.
Marketing is also a complicated field with few set rules, unlike the disciplines most professional services firms practice. That's why strategic leadership matters most. With a clear plan, a short list of priorities, and someone accountable for results, marketing becomes a real driver of growth for the firm.
We work with professional services firms of every size, from boutique advisory practices with a sharp niche to firms with many service lines and markets. For several fields, we've built pages that go deeper.
CPA firms, fractional CFO firms, and investment banks, where buyers want proof before they trust you with their numbers.
Firms growing advisory work and reaching owners and CFOs in their strongest sectors.
Middle-market and boutique banks that want business owners to know them years before a sale.
Full-service and specialty firms winning work from public agencies, developers, architects, and private owners.
Firms that guide companies through major technology decisions. We help you show buyers that you understand both their business and their technology.
Firms that help companies hire, keep, and develop their people. We help you reach the leaders who make those decisions and give them a clear reason to choose you.
Firms that help leadership teams improve how the business runs. We help you become known for the specific problems and industries you solve best.
Firms that provide part-time finance, technology, marketing, and other executives. We help you explain the model in plain terms and show owners why part-time leadership is worth it.
Every engagement follows the Marketri Momentum Model (M³), our step-by-step framework for turning scattered marketing activity into a plan that drives growth. A fractional CMO, a senior marketing leader who works with you part time, leads the work throughout. Most clients have a plan by about week six and programs running by about week eight.
We start by learning your firm's history, goals, and where leadership wants the firm to be. We talk with leaders across the firm, review outside research, and study your competitors so the plan reflects every part of the firm.
We pick your target markets with an objective process. We look at where you already have clients, which markets are growing, and how much revenue a typical client in each market brings in. That tells us which markets to pursue first, in what order, and how much time and budget each one gets.
We walk your leadership team through the roadmap, talk it over, and agree on it together. With one plan in place, it's clear which requests fit. Good ideas that fall outside the plan go on a "nice to have" list, so they're noted without pulling the team off course. Your fractional CMO keeps the work on plan and resets priorities each quarter.
Our specialists run the work, from thought leadership and content to your website, email, and PR. We measure progress against agreed goals and give you a real-time dashboard, written in plain language, so you can see how things are going whenever you like.
Deb Andrews, founder and president of Marketri, has led the firm since 2004 and has worked with roughly 100 professional services firms across a wide range of industries. That gives our team depth in specific fields and the breadth to bring what's working in one industry to another. Jane Woodling, marketing director, leads our IT advisory clients, and Katie De Marco, senior marketing director, leads our HR consulting clients. They know the services, terms, and acronyms in those fields, so your team spends its time on clients instead of bringing us up to speed.

A global accounting and professional services firm once got three of every four new leads through referrals, and it wanted growth that didn't depend on its founders' networks. We started as the firm's fractional CMO, focused its marketing on mid-market companies in its strongest sectors, and built a marketing function it could measure. We later led marketing and sales together as its fractional chief growth officer. By 2025, marketing produced 73% of the firm's qualified leads.

As a client of Marketri, we at Northstar PMO continue to be thoroughly impressed with their strategic marketing services. From the outset, we valued their structured and methodical approach to truly understanding the nuances of our business. This deep dive allowed us to formulate a comprehensive and tailored marketing plan that perfectly aligned with our goals. The quality of the materials and content our Marketri team produced for us has been exceptional. Thanks to their expertise, we now have a significantly more polished and professional online presence. We are seeing real, tangible results from these efforts. We also want to acknowledge the people behind the success. A special thank you to the Founder, Debra Andrews, for her consistent support and strategic oversight. Furthermore, the collaboration with our delivery team, Katie and Brita, is outstanding. Scrubbed has worked with Deb Andrews, Trisha Gallagher, and the rest of the Marketri team for the past 3 years now. It won’t take much to research and compare what our brand looked like before Marketri, and how it looks like now. Spoiler Alert – a huge difference in look and feel. Marketri witnessed Scrubbed’s growth these past few years and it has been a fantastic experience working with them. I strongly recommend talking to Deb Andrews about your growth needs.

$5–10M
in new revenue annually, attributed directly to marketing, achieved entirely through organic traffic with zero paid advertising.
A national engineering firm needed strategic marketing leadership, not just a marketer. As Fractional CMO from 2013–2018, Marketri built a revenue-generating engine that drove $5–10M in new revenue annually — entirely through organic traffic, with zero paid advertising.
Read the Full StoryTell a senior Marketri leader about the expertise you sell, the clients you want more of, and how new work finds you today. After the call, we'll follow up with the constraint we'd fix first and one to three next moves.
Professional services marketing is the strategy and ongoing work that makes a firm known and trusted by the clients it wants to win. For firms that sell expertise, such as consulting, advisory, accounting, and engineering firms, it covers positioning, the website, thought leadership, email, social media, PR, and measurement. Done well, it puts a firm in front of buyers long before they're ready to hire.
Our engagements start at $7,500 a month. That minimum works well for boutique firms. Larger firms with more services and more target markets usually invest more, and the retainer scales with the work.
Most likely. We've worked with roughly 100 professional services firms, including accounting, financial services, investment banking, engineering, IT advisory, HR consulting, management consulting, and fractional executive firms. Our leaders know the services and the language in these fields, so we don't start from scratch. Working across so many industries also lets us bring ideas that are succeeding elsewhere to your firm.
Our case studies show what that looks like. A global accounting and professional services firm used marketing to grow well beyond referrals, and a national engineering firm earned $5 million to $10 million a year in new revenue tied directly to marketing. In a first conversation, we're glad to walk through our work with firms closest to yours.
We follow the Marketri Momentum Model (M³). We learn your business, choose the markets where you can win, agree with your leadership on one roadmap, and then run and measure the work. A fractional CMO leads it throughout, and you get a real-time dashboard to track progress.
Less than most leaders expect. At the start, we need a few hours with you to learn the firm's history, goals, and plans, and then your feedback on the roadmap. After that, we only ask for what you alone can provide, such as short interviews we turn into thought leadership articles. We meet as often as you prefer, and your dashboard lets you check progress without adding meetings to your calendar.
Most firms we work with are building a lasting marketing function, much like finance or IT, rather than looking for a quick win. The first month is discovery, and the plan is in market by about the second month. Most firms see real movement within about six months, and the results build from there.
We talk with leaders across the firm during discovery, so the roadmap reflects every group's needs, and leadership agrees on it together. After that, it's clear which requests fit the plan. Good ideas that fall outside it go on a "nice to have" list, so nothing gets lost and the team stays focused on what will grow the firm.
Usually, yes. Our strongest engagements pair our team with someone inside your firm who knows the business well. We give that person senior leadership and a bench of specialists, so they no longer have to carry every part of marketing on their own.
Selling expertise is different from selling a product. Buyers are judging people, and they need proof and trust before they call. A firm that knows professional services already understands long decision cycles, the weight of referrals, and how to turn your team's knowledge into content buyers value.
