What This Skill Does
Sees your site the way a stranger does
Checks for the credibility and clarity gaps that are invisible once you already know what your company does.
Every finding is quoted, not asserted
Each rating traces to something actually on the page - never a stylistic opinion dressed up as a finding.
Works from a URL or pasted text
Fetches the page directly when possible, or works from pasted content when it isn't.
Six categories, one pass
Clarity of offer, credibility, proof, conversion path, usability, and contact friction, scored in a single audit.
Ends in a question, not a rewrite
Every flagged issue becomes a specific question for your web team or vendor, never a copy rewrite you didn't ask for.
Best Used For
- Before a website redesign or refresh, to know what's actually broken first
- A second opinion when something about the site "feels off" but you can't name it
- Checking whether your homepage explains what you do within the first few seconds
- Preparing talking points before a conversation with a web or design vendor
How It Works
The person who knows a company best is usually the worst judge of whether a stranger can understand its website - you already know what you do, so the gaps that confuse a first-time visitor are invisible to you. This skill checks a website against a fixed set of objectively checkable problems, not a subjective "does this feel right" read.
It works from a URL when the page can be fetched directly, or from pasted homepage and key-page text when it can't. Six categories get scored in one pass - clarity of offer, credibility and trust signals, proof and evidence, conversion path and calls to action, usability, and contact friction - each rated Critical, Caution, or Clear based only on what the page actually says. Every rating comes with a quote from the page itself, never a general design opinion.
You walk away with a scored audit and one specific follow-up question per flagged issue - something to raise with your web team or vendor - not a rewritten headline, a redesign, or a persona-based guess at how one type of buyer might react.
