Lost Deal Pattern Finder
Finds the real, recurring reasons deals slip away - not just what reps typed in the CRM on the way out - and flags when "price" is doing more explaining than it should.

What This Skill Does
Surfaces the pattern reps don't see one loss at a time
Groups scattered lost-deal notes into recurring themes, not a list of individual excuses.
Calls out when "price" is covering for something else
Flags a heavy price or timing skew as a signal to dig deeper, not a settled reason.
Every theme traces to real deals
Each theme comes with anonymized illustrative notes and a count of how often it showed up.
Never turns into a review of one rep
Findings stay about the pattern in the deals, never a judgment on who ran them.
Won't manufacture a pattern from a handful of losses
Refuses to call something a "theme" without enough independent deals behind it.
Best Used For
- Noticing the same reason or competitor keeps showing up in lost-deal notes and wanting to know if it's real
- Preparing a "what our losses are telling us" read before a sales-and-marketing planning conversation
- Sanity-checking whether a recent string of losses is a pattern or just a rough quarter
- Deciding whether a messaging or qualification issue shows up consistently enough across losses to raise it
How It Works
Every lost deal gets a reason typed into the CRM on the way out, and most of those reasons are never looked at again as a set - only one at a time, right after the loss stings. Read together, a batch of lost deals usually holds a handful of real, recurring patterns: a competitor that keeps coming up, a stage where deals consistently stall, a stated reason that's really covering for something else.
This skill takes a batch of lost-deal records and groups them into scored, recurring themes, each backed by anonymized illustrative notes and a frequency count. Any rep or contact name is converted to a role label before any analysis begins, and if "price" or another low-friction reason dominates the stated causes, it says so plainly - stated loss reasons are logged by the seller in the moment and tend to under-report harder truths.
You walk away with a set of loss themes, each with real evidence and a plain business implication - never a rep review, a sales-process rewrite, or a fabricated win/loss benchmark.
