LinkedIn Tip 6: Responding to "Invitations to Connect"

When people send you an invitation to connect, what do you typically do?  Most people simply accept the invitation and move on with their day(I am truly guilty of this as well!).  Responding in this manner, however, is a lost opportunity.

So, let’s agree NOT to respond like most people!  Let’s differentiate ourselves from others.  Here is the simple plan:

LinkedIn Tip 5: Developing New Contacts through "Introductions"

Remember that list you put together in Tip 4 of the people who you don’t know personally but would like to meet?  We are about to put that list into action.  “Introductions” on Linkedin let you indirectly contact Linkedin members who are two or three degrees away from you through your first degree contracts.  Basically, you virtually ask your contacts who you know, like and trust to provide an “Introduction” on your behalf.
